Friend zone

Remember the episode with the blackout? Joey tells Ross “it’s never gonna happen” cause he’s in the friend zone. Remember Joey? The idiot of the group.. Remember Ross eventually hooked up with Rachel anyway? Several times! Pretty much proves you can move from a friend zone to a lover zone.

You hear most people say they don’t want to take a risk because they don’t want to ruin the friendship. It’ll usually be the women who tend to think like so. I know I know, many men use the same reason but truth be told, they’re just using it as a euphemism to saying hell no (which reminds me, if by any chance I might have said this to you, my sincere apologies).

Anyway, I’m not convinced by the whole theory of the friend zone. Just imagine two people already perfect around each other, bringing the best out of each other, taking it to a whole new level. To me, there’s nothing more beautiful than two people who’ve got love written all over them and at the same time are each other’s best friends! Yes it could end, but don’t tell me all of your friendships have endured the test of time. If there’s even the slightest possibility of getting pretty much everything you’ve ever wanted to have since you were little, then go for it. It beats the hell out of never knowing. If your relation turns out to be not suited for you two and even your friendship has turned awkward.. then I’m afraid I’d have to burst your bubble and tell you your friendship wasn’t that wonderful to begin with.

Friend zone? Pah! Don’t make me laugh!

  1. I totally agree with you if you are trully in love nothing should stand in the way.

People thend to use the excuse “I don’t want to ruin our friendship”. If you trully like and love him you should never think like that. Just go for it!!!!!

Love is the best thing that can happen to yourself. So if you find yourself falling for bestfriend and he is also falling for you NEVER let it go……because you will regret it in the end.

  2. You raised a good point there at the end… I never thought about the friendship not being a good one if it gets too awkward.

I think I’d rather take a chance then be left wondering. Great post.
