The glass is half empty
Alright.. there’s such a thing as half empty and half full when it comes to containers filled with some kind of substance. Depending on the direction it was going, I’d call it half empty (using it) or half full (filling it).
But when it comes to light, there’s no such thing, okay?! If there’s current going through, making the bulb emit light, then it’s on! Even when dimmed, it’s considered on, albeit barely noticeable.. There’s no such thing as half on/off. Ok? Thank you.
